New Owners
In 2021, Josh and Kathryn (Kate) Lambert and their holding company BME Home LLC purchased White x White.
- Insider tip: White x White is actually pronounced "White by White".
Josh brings 20+ years of home furnishings industry experience - starting out in retail sales before moving on to become a factory rep, a national sales trainer and a retail store owner.
Kate is a former early childhood educator who now focuses on raising the couples 3 young children.
All pieces in the White x White collection are hand-made and have a wonderful vintage appearance with finishes that vary slightly from piece to piece. It's our belief that these slight variations add character and charm to the products.
Josh and Kate look forward to carrying on the White x White legacy for quality and style and bringing their own personal touch to the White x White experience.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about the future of White x White and we truly appreciate your business. Please feel free to email questions or concerns anytime to owner/president, Josh Lambert, at
History
White x White founder, Kristen A. White, a native of Topeka, Kansas, has a passion for art, antiques and product design. Her love of antiques began by unearthing treasures at garage sales with her father and attending auctions as a teenager. After a few years of collecting her home was bursting at the seams and she knew if she wanted to continue to buy she needed to have an outlet to sell. She began selling at antique shows, opened her home for seasonal open houses and in 1987 she opened a retail store in Topeka, and along with her husband Bob and their combined home of 6 children, successfully built Gallery Classic into a local favorite.
Kristen began designing home décor in 2008 because she saw a need in the home décor industry for on-trend, yet affordable, home furnishings and decor. Her designs are inspired by the wonderful homes, gardens and antique shops she sees on her excursions in Europe. Her designs are pared down, rustic yet refined, re-purposed bare woods, and use the philosophy: The most beautiful things aren’t always the finest.
